Our Servers are responsible for:
Taking accurate guest orders,
Delivering meals to guests,
Attending to guest special requests,
Providing high quality service in all aspects of the guest experience.
An excellent Server will have Previous Server or restaurant experience,
The ability to Serve guests in a high volume restaurant,
The desire to make the guest experience the best possible,
The ability to lift heavy food trays, up to 25 pounds, professionally and with ease,
The ability to learn Blue Gate menu by memory and understand variations available,
The ability to remain calm, friendly and helpful under pressure.
A continual smile.
Must be available most evenings and Saturdays.
Weekend Breakfast Cook

Prep Cook or Line Cook
The Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana, IN is seeking those who enjoy cooking to work as a prep cook or line cook. Prepare routine items, chopping/slicing/dicing items or following simple recipes to be passed to grill and/or other cooks.
Ability to multi-task required
Ability to work in high heat required
Host and Cashier
A Host greets guests, adds guests to waiting list if necessary, seats guests and operates the cash register.
Most evening and Saturday availability required, Monday through Saturday
Excellent guest service skills required

1st Shift Housekeepers
Seeking self-starters with ability to thoroughly clean guest rooms at the Blue Gate Garden Inn in Shipshewana 3-5 days (part-time or full-time) per week. Competitive salary and benefits. Earn $2.00 more per hour for Sunday shifts! Hours 8:00am – 4:00pm, 3 days per week
Sunday availability required.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Must be a motivated, self-starter who takes pride in their work.
