Duffields

If you know little about the Duffields, aside from the fact that they have new life doing the hymns, "oldies," vintage Gospel, as well as their own creative strategic songwriting, you have missed out on the exceptional artists they have always been since the early '70s. While Jeff and Sue had major media venues of opportunity (PTL Club, 700 Club, 100 Hundred Huntley Street - Canada) they have never strived to be the commercial Christian sensation they deserved to be. The choice to perform a jazz, soulful influenced repertoire while other duets were doing mainstream gospel, proved to be a positive strength - staying true to their deep roots and expression.

The Duffields were perfecting this "worship" sound for nearly a decade before it became popular. Sue not only has an incredible vocal ability, she also writes much of the material they perform. She is in demand as a speaker and comedian as well, traveling and ministering to women's groups across America, Canada and Bermuda. Her latest freelance writing includes, Laugh Lines, the National Women's Ministries e-zine of the Assemblies of God, as well as contributing author for John C. Maxwell's latest book, Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.

Jeff is an amazing keyboardist and has played and/or produced for such artists as Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers, Doug Oldham, The Original Couriers, Ben "Cooter" Jones and John Schneider of The Dukes of Hazard, The Cathedrals, Sammy Hall, Dave Boyer, John Starnes, Three Bridges and others. He's very active in the recording industry in Nashville with his innovative approach and orchestration concept of MIDI custom tracks.

Their music is rich and lush with many layers and prominent chords. Their songs are brilliantly crafted. They are true musician's musicians. They're definitely not predictable, but always anointed... and never ever giving in to the status quo of the popular genre. They are busier than ever, sharing their faith-filled songs of hope and inspiration to a new generation.
