Andrew Lapp
Andrew Lapp, born in 1989, is an American concert pianist and composer. Having his first piano lesson at the age of seven, he later studied with Sandra Lawler.
Andrew is currently studying Piano Performance under the direction of Young-Ah Tak, student of Leon Fleisher, as well as a degree in Music Business at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Andrew has also taken master lessons with several noted teachers including Dr. Marc Silverman of the Manhattan School of Music, Rebecca Penneys of the Eastman School of Music, Dr. Kevin Orr of the University of Florida and Dr. Sergio Ruiz of Sam Houston University.
Andrew has appeared as a solo pianist with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, Venice Symphony Orchestra and the Sarasota Pops Orchestra. As a young Steinway Artist, Andrew performs nationally and recently debuted as an accompanist at Carnegie Hall.
Along with studying with classical repertoire, Andrew also composes and performs arrangements of Sacred, Gospel and popular selections. His Gospel interpretations have been featured as pre-shows for The Inspirations, Legacy Five, The Booth Brothers and Guy Pendrod, former lead vocalist for the Gaither Vocal Band.
In 2009, Andrew Lapp established LMC Records, a division of Lapp Media Corporation, specializing in the recording and promotion of up-and-coming classical and contemporary artists.
